Rubicon Power Systems is a manufacturer of high-quality, low-voltage switchboards and panelboards located in Reno, Nevada.
Founder Michael Lourcey started with a background in commercial and industrial maintenance, and then moved into automation engineering. From there, electrical engineering was the obvious next step, so he specialized in the fields of switchboard manufacturing and power distribution.

Rubicon Power Systems opened its doors in 2025 after Michael realized a huge gap in the market for off-the-shelf modular switchboards and panelboards. Larger companies are not stepping up to meet the huge demand to electrify America's future, driven by technology and AI, let alone the needs of local distributors and contractors for commercial offices, hospitals, and schools.
